E-Networks, Technology Partners and CH&PA to demo Smart Homes at Building Expo

E-Networks Inc. – Guyana’s fastest internet provider – will be partnering with the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) and Safeway Security Inc. to power the model “smart homes” at the International Building Expo this weekend at the National Stadium.

A smart home is one that uses internet-connected devices to enable the remote monitoring and management of different aspects of a house, such as lighting, cooling, and security devices through an internet connection. By enabling the automation and remote management of these devices, a smart home can create increased energy efficiency, cost savings and convenience for the homeowner.

Since a reliable internet connection is critical to the effective functioning of a smart home, E-Networks will be providing its fast and robust OnFiber connectivity to support the CH&PA in demonstrating the benefits of its model smart homes.

E-Networks will also be partnering with local electronic security company, Safeway Security Inc, to power their range of security products that will be available for live demo at one of the model homes at the Building Expo.

Safeway Security is a local distributor and installer of security solutions, including intrusion alarms, CCTV, and access controls. They will also be launching their new Alarm.com line of security equipment, including the new app, for which they are the exclusive distributor. Alarm.com is a US based company specialising in award-winning complete home automation in one app that can remotely control your alarm, cameras, lights, video doorbell with 2-way audio, garage door, and any other equipment that utilizes Z-wave technology.

Safeway Security Managing Director, Saudia Qualander, said that the company was happy to partner with the CH&PA and E-Networks to showcase their products at the Building Expo, which they see as the perfect opportunity to connect with their ideal target audience. Ms Qualander also expressed her confidence that their products will be powered to the fullest potential using E-Networks’ fiber connectivity and demonstrate how security technology has advanced to enhance convenience and peace of mind for homeowners.

E-Networks also provides a PLC (Private Leased Circuit) service using fiber connectivity that enables businesses and homes to access remote camera viewing to notify homeowners and respond rapidly to any suspicious activity, protecting their business or property from criminal damage.

E-Networks Chief Commercial Officer, Abu Zaman, commented that he was looking forward to connecting with existing and potential customers during the Expo to showcase E-Networks’ complete suite of services aimed at bringing all the benefits of the Internet to everyone. He encouraged persons to visit the company’s booth to fully appreciate all E-Networks had to offer.
